Two of my friends have tried the Sawmill Creek wines as well;
Sherry says that she really likes the Cabernet Sauvignon from Sawmill Creek. She mentioned that the Cab, Merlot and Shiraz are all good for the type of wines they are. She does drink the Merlot too and it's actually quite good if you are a fan of Merlot is her opinion.
M. Streifel says that the Shiraz is so much better than the Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon!

Sawmill Creek Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon
#TryingSawmillCreek Just got a chance to try Sawmill Creek wines. I got a 1.5L of the white Chardonnay and a 1.5L of their red Cabernet Sauvignon.
If you are a white wine drinker this wine has that hint of oak and a fruity taste of apple and pear. It's a smooth wine that has a soft bite to it as it goes down. This wine goes best with meat, including lamb, and creamy sauces, but since I'm a vegetarian I found it went well with pasta and Alfredo sauce.
You're a red wine drinker? Typical of Sawmill creek wines it has a touch of oak to it. This one has a hint of black cherries to it and is on the dry side, but not overly dry. This wine is best paired with meat and seafood, but also strong cheese. I don't eat meat or seafood so I paired it nicely with old cheddar cheese. #SimpleSipping
